The Wellbeing and Rehabilitation Co. provides a range of clinical and wellbeing services designed to meet your individual health needs. This may be following illness, injury or because you want to improve your general wellbeing.
We offer a person-centred approach and will ensure the physical, mental and social aspects of your health is always considered.
Throughout our services we use a health coaching model. This means our clinicians and wellbeing practitioners will support you in identifying where to start and where to take your wellness and rehabilitation care. We will provide education, advice, treatment and support to help you to make helpful behavioural changes and ensure you achieve your health goals.
All services can be accessed by the public, private and business sectors, ensuring an inclusive and accessible service offering is available to the wider community.
The Wellbeing and Rehabilitation Co. is based in South Manchester, in the old ‘District Bank’ in West Didsbury. The bank was traditionally at the heart of the community, so we have redesigned the space to offer a holistic wellness centre which offers a relaxed, supportive and inclusive environment, ideal for supporting your long term health journey.
I founded the Wellbeing & Rehab Co. to support you in achieving your desired health goals and improve your overall wellbeing. I am a qualified Physiotherapist, specialising in musculoskeletal and long term conditions, and have a degree in Sports Science with Exercise and Coaching. This has given me a comprehensive knowledge of how to support individuals during their rehabilitation form injuries and illnesses including complex musculoskeletal injury, cancer, long covid and persistent pain. I have extensive experience in Occupational Health, supporting patients to achieve health goal and successfully return to work. I use this toolkit to provide holistic treatment and rehabilitation to support your long-term wellbeing.
I qualified from Physiotherapy in University College Dublin in 2016 and my Pilates Instructor Training in 2017. Since then I have worked in a variety of clinical settings across the NHS and private sector in Manchester. More recently I have set my focus on Women’s Health Physiotherapy and love opening the conversation on, sometimes lesser talked about topics. My experience includes working with pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain, post-partum health checks, and return to exercise, menopausal symptoms, urinary incontinence and prolapse. I enjoy teaching all sorts of mat-based Pilates, promoting continued movement and core stability in pregnancy and working with wider populations on building stability, strength and postural awareness.
I am a qualified Health Psychologist that has worked in the NHS, academic and private practice settings. My role is to support people in making positive health changes, whether that’s tackling smoking, lack of sleep or boosting physical activity. I use a blend of person-centred talking therapies, such as Motivational Interviewing. I will draw from a number of evidence-based approaches to deliver bespoke treatment depending on what is most important and relevant to you.
My role as a counsellor is to listen and to work with you to create a space where you can feel safe to explore thoughts and feelings. I am qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. My experience includes working with anxiety, depression, stress, loss, grief, confidence and self-esteem issues. I am particularly interested in the ways in which challenges and changes in our lives impact on our identity.
I am a holistic therapist with over 20 years experience, working with a variety of Massage Therapies, Reflexology, Craniosacral Therapy, and Scar Therapy. I have 10 years experience in cancer care environment and am trained in ScarWork and Restore Scar Therapy, including specialist oncology scar therapy.
What is Restore Scar Therapy?
RESTORE scar therapy offers a combined approach of scar massage and home-care advice together with other tools to help improve the look and feel of tight scar tissue. Treatment can be beneficial on both new and old scars.
It was back in 2012 that I first fell in love with yoga. In 2017, I undertook the 200hr Vinyasa YTT training with Andrea Everingham and haven’t looked back. I have trained in Mandala, Rocket, Yin and Tripsichore with The Yoga People. I believe that the relationship we build with ourselves through personal practice gives us far more autonomy over our experiences, moving us into a more empowered mindset.
I am an enthusiastic fitness instructor with many years of experience in exercise and strength training. My primary focus is on improving strength and eating habits to improve quality of life. With a Master’s degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science, my dedication lies in assisting clients in achieving their health and fitness goals. This includes tailored one-to-one strength training sessions and a strong focus on optimising nutrition. Be it weight loss, muscle gain, enhanced performance or a comprehensive improvement in health, we achieve these objectives through a personalised, carefully designed exercise and nutrition programme.
