By engaging in regular physical activity and eating a balanced diet, you will reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, and other health conditions such as diabetes, osteoporosis and cancer, boost immunity, help maintain a healthy body weight, and promote mental wellbeing.
The programme includes the following:
The relationship between exercise and nutrition is important for improving and maintaining optimal health and performance. A balanced diet helps to maintain or boost your energy, increasing your ability and desire to be more physically active, and improve your focus and drive during work and life activities.
Fuelling your body with the right nutrients before and after exercise can also improve performance, reduce injuries, and help to maintain and develop muscle mass.
At WRC we adopt a person-centred approach and during the 12-week programme we will ensure you achieve your goals in relation to exercise and nutrition. To do this we use a health coaching model. This means you will have a dedicated exercise and nutrition coach who will support you in identifying where to start and where to take your physical activity and diet.
Our 12 Week Programme can help to enhance your running performance.
If you are a runner we can design your 12 week programme around performance enhancement. We will include running specific strength training to improve your power, balance, coordination and your overall strength.
By optimising your nutrition intake we can improve your recovery and enhance your running performance by giving you some nutrition recommendations on your pre- and post workout fuelling strategies as well as improving your overall eating habits.
Any runner will benefit from these changes and the sessions will be tailored to your own needs and fitness goals.
