Kate’s Whole Body Wellbeing class is so relaxed and friendly, and packed with really effective subtle exercises. I couldn’t recommend WRC enough for anyone wanting to improve their fitness in a friendly, supportive environment. '

' I enjoy doing the rocket yoga and boxing circuit classes here - it's local and the tutors are very skilled and everyone is very friendly. It's fun and good to keep fit. I also saw one of the physio's when my hip was sore - great to know they are there. '

Yoga Class

Yoga

There is a reason why so many people have taken up Yoga – it feels good!

The Yoga mat is a space where we can get to know ourselves, what we like and what we’re not so sure about. The more we get to know ourselves, the better care we can take. The more care we take of ourselves, the better we feel – and we would all love to feel better!

Our beginners yoga sessions will involve learning some of the key asana (physical yoga) and how to adapt them to our individual bodies. These exercises help to build strength, improve flexibility, balance and mobility. We will also focus on pranayama (breathing techniques), understanding the power held in these simple exercises as key to overall well-being. Finally, we close with relaxation, allowing what we have learned to really marinate in the body so we can walk away with a lovely sense of calm.

An open-hearted, welcoming Vinyasa practice open to all levels. When life is hectic, this is the perfect yoga process to reconnect, slow down, and take a moment for yourself. Yoga styles are not reserved for alycraclad elite. They are absolutely, totally available to YOU as amazing tools get stronger, more flexible and, most importantly, help cultivate a connection to your internal dialogue.

A strong and steady sequence basedaround the Ashtanga series. We begin with sun salutations to warm the body, before moving into standing, balances and seated work. The structure will be similar each week, allowing you to really tune out to tune in. Asana will be broken down so you can really feel into what you are doing and execute the movements safely.

Strength and Conditioning

These classes are designed to develop strength and prevent injury. The classes will involve a combination of weight baring and resistance based exercises using weights and exercise bands.

Strength training is vital for good posture, strong bones, and weight control. This class can give you the confidence you need if you are not sure where to start your strength training journey. By using your body weight and dumbbells, we are exploring different strength exercises. First, we go through the technique of each move followed by practicing rounds. Once you gained the confidence of each move, we start the training round to tone your body and to get stronger. Modifications to regress or progress each move are always provided, to suit every level of fitness.

Strength and Power provides a total body workout, working on your cardiovascular capacity as well as muscle strength and power. This class includes strength training (with bodyweight or dumbbells) combined with explosive movements such as squat jumps, side dashes and interval sprints to develop power and improve performance. A good baseline level of strength is recommended to attend this class but modifications are always provided to suit individuals capability.

Boxercise is an exercise concept based on the training methods used by boxers. The main element of the class is performing boxing combinations on boxing pads in pairs, mixed with cardio and strength training.  It is a fun, challenging and safe workout which is great for stress busting, accessible to all ages and fitness levels.

If you need to gain confidence before joining a class, or if you have a certain area in your fitness journey you would like to work on you can book a one to one session with us. This session is designed specifically to suit your personal fitness goals, which could be working on your weight-lifting technique or just to improve your overall strength and stamina by applying plyometric exercises and the elements of strength training. Give us a call and we can discuss your fitness goals today.
